Management Team

Miss Tara Uzra Dawood is CEO and Founder of 786 Investments Ltd., one of Pakistan’s oldest asset management companies, launched in 2003. It is publicly listed on the Pakistani Stock Exchange. She also currently sits on the boards of Pakistan State Oil – where she chairs the Audit, HR and IT/Innovation committees – Pakistan Refinery Ltd., and Mutual Funds Association of Pakistan, and previously served on the board of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO). She is certified in Corporate Governance by both Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance and Harvard Business School. She holds a Doctorate in Judicial Science from Harvard Law School – where she specialized is shariah law and finance, as well as mergers and acquisitions – and Bachelor of Arts Honors from Cornell University and Oxford University. She worked for law firms in New York, Toronto, Amsterdam, Brussels and California before launching 786 Investments Ltd. in 2003. She has served on the Faculty at Danube University Krems (Austria) as recommended by The International Investment Funds Association and EBAMA. She speaks globally at numerous international mutual fund and banking conferences as an authority on shariah-compliant finance as well as finance for women, and most recently represented Pakistan at ALFI Rentree 2020, the annual Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry, where she has previously been a speaker on Islamic finance in both 2013 and 2014. She also was invited to France to assist the Association Française de la Gestion Financière on the launching of their shariah mutual funds industry. She is well known for her philanthropic work for women and children, in partnership with Facebook’s internet.org foundation and with the support of the World Bank, as well as distribution of emergency supplies during the SWAT earthquake and most recently, food rations during COVID-19/Sindh floods.
Noman Shakir is an associate member of Institute of Cost and Management Accountant of Pakistan and also have done Master in Economics from University of Karachi. He has more than 09 years of experience of working in Finance/Accounts department of various local and Multinational organizations.
He possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proven track record in consistently and effectively delivering accounting services that enhance the company’s purpose and profitability. He has worked with Textile Sector, Automobile Sector, Education Sector. Before Joining to 786 Investments Ltd, he was associated with Pak Oman Investments Company Limited. He is specialized in research and financial analysis, management reporting, Budgeting and forecasting, internal and external auditing, and In-depth knowledge of accounting regulations and standards.

Muhammad Abbas is a multidisciplinary leader wearing different hats in the organization. His untiring devotion and hard work earned him a reputation of an important organizational asset.

He has an ample experience of over 19 years in Financial Institutions along with 14 years in Asset Management Industry. He is reputable veteran in investment management with hands on experience in financial related matters and his expertise includes management of fixed income and money market portfolios of the funds. He efficiently coordinates overall investment strategy and portfolio construction in alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives, risk appetite, ALM, and capital objectives. He also monitors the investment portfolio’s performance and underlying risk, takes proactive measures to manage risks in the portfolio and adjust asset allocations as appropriate.

He has received a degree in Masters in Business Administration (Banking & Finance). He is known for his strong analytical skills and has provided reliability and integrity in performance.

Ammad Siddiqui is a true gentleman of the organization whose delighted nature and cultured behavior have always provided our esteemed clients the highest level of comfort and satisfaction.

He has a vast experience of around 10 years in Administration and Customer Service Management. He proficiently directs and oversees all aspects of organization’s customer service policies, objectives, and initiatives and actively involved in developing and devising the procedures and policies governing customer correspondence. He is organization’s interpreter for the outside world and acknowledges the organization about customers needs wants and desires and ensure that the company responds in the most effective, relevant personal way possible. He has champion the customer throughout the regional business, balancing customer needs with business requirements and presenting a compelling case for internal change and improvement. He efficiently handles the recruitment, selecting, orienting and training employees for the customer service management department.

A graduate in commerce from University of Karachi (UoK), he is a professional person who is making the organization more proactive and engaging for their respected clients and customers.

Mr Muhammad Abdus Salaam has a Master’s in Business Administration (Accounting & Finance) and a Master’s in Economics. He has over 15 years of professional experience working in the Finance/Accounts department regarding Compliance Affairs. He has strong analytical and problem-solving skills and has a track record in consistently and effectively delivering accounting and compliance services that enhance the company’s purpose and profitability.
